When selecting a crane for a job there are three important factors that have to be taken into account.

  1. The length of the Boom (m)
  2. The Radius from centre of rotation to the centre of lift (m)
  3. The Capacity of the lift (t)

Below is a typical example of a crane graph with these important factors.

crane graph

Looking at the graph please note the following, Lifting capacity decreases with boom length and radius. Therefore you need to know the following when considering a crane search.

  • Weight of the lift
  • Radius (distance) from the crane centre
  • Height of the lift (m)

Each of our cranes on the website has a specification document (.pdf) for you to download. These contain all the specifications for the crane as well as the graphs like the example shown here. To see a crane’s specification document select a crane from the menu on the left and click the download crane brochure button.
